Testimonials

Thank you very much for a stimulating and informative presentation on Wednesday. We all have our particular hobby-horses when it comes to environmental issues and it was interesting to hear the other side of the story and to have some of myths exploded.

CRC Early Action Metric - CEMARS approved

24 Jun 2010

There were two elements to the Early Action Metric, which helps participants improve their position on the Performance League Table: installing voluntary AMRs and achieving the Carbon Trust Standard. The Environment Agency has just announced that CEMARS - Certified Emissions Measurement and Reduction Scheme - has now been approved as an alternative to the Carbon Trust Standard. Developed in New Zealand, CEMARS is internationally recognised. The Environment Agency will approve other standards in due course.

Remember, you have to have your standard in place by 31st March 2011 in order to gain full benefit for this part of the Early Action Metric. Voluntary AMRs are different. You will only get full benefit from them if they were in place on 1st April 2010, and metering your total consumption.

The Environment Agency's news story on CEMARS can be accessed here.
